As you probably know already, Fileserve made it so that only uploaders can download their own files, which effectively means that all the DDL links around here are now dead.

Man, am I loving this show so far. Fabulous visuals, groovy soundtrack and doesn't take itself too seriously while still having an interesting world going for it.
By the way, even though the official romanization for Vox Lympha is "Vox Rympha", we're going with Lympha because the official is plain and simply wrong. All the Vox names (Aura, Lympha, Ignis) come from Latin and represent wind, water and fire respectively.
No DDLs for the time being due to FileServe getting all scared and removing their affiliate program (since the only reason for us to serve DDLs to begin with are the pennies). The search for alternative hosts is on, with preferably something that doesn't suck a total bag of dicks while still generating said pennies.

Suddenly this has become the Oversub of the Season. Well, as long as we don't count the Fanservice Show of the Season, Highschool DxD...
I don't usually make separate posts for v2 releases, but the initial post is long enough that I'm gonna make an exception this time. Anyway, as the name indicates, this is a v2 release. There's a bunch of script improvements and a whole new encode, since the encoder wasn't satisfied with the previous one. This version shouldn't have any audio issues either, but if it still refuses to play just follow the instructions in the initial post.
Also, a translation note: As you have probably noted, Madoka's catchphrase is "Maru!", which she says while drawing a circle in the air with her finger. As you might have deduced, "maru" in Japanese means "circle", but this particular meaning (written as 〇, surprise surprise) also means "correct" when for example marking answers in Japanese tests (whereas a swoosh means "wrong"). This is the meaning in which Madoka uses the word, and we have decided to translate it as "success", which we feel reflects the nature of the original word well and can be easily used whenever "maru" is used in a sentence. Viz on the other hand decided to translate it as "perfect". They were probably looking at another maru, 丸, which also means circle. If you look it up on dictionaries, though, they may list "perfection/purity" as one of its meanings. However, this is not an usual way of interpreting it but rather a symbolic way when linking it to Buddhism where the circle means "completion". In other words, the "correct" interpretation is much more plausible and "perfect" is quite far-fetched.
However, while not linking to Buddhism, another quite obvious link exists - namely, the reference to orbit and Lagrange points - points in orbit where the gravitational pull from two large objects basically negate each other, leaving any object in a point stationary. You can also see references to this in the ED where we can see chairs floating in spheres and circles.

Man, this season is totally whack simulcast wise. For some reason CR has not announced or released Aquarion EVOL, despite it being a TV Tokyo show (and all TV Tokyo shows have got simulcast by CR for years). If CR does not end up doing it, you can consider it dropped on our part. For some reason, Viz has not put up any kind of simulcast for Rinne either, but luckily enough 8thSin had wanted to translate this show to begin with, so we ended up doing our own subs instead. Enjoy!
Also, we have a new encoder working on this show who I know some of you will be hating now because of the humongous filesize, but this ep has quite a bit of action and the OP eats quite a bit of bitrate, so 仕方がない。
EDIT: Oh right I forgot, calling it now - this show has the most fabulous OP of the season. Any competition will have a hard time besting this.
EDIT2: It seems Viz finally did add the first ep to Hulu, but we have no idea if it will be this late on a regular basis or was this just a problem on their end or what. If they do actually simulcast it next week, then we'll just proceed as originally planned and use the simulcast translation instead (provided that it's good and worth using, of course).
To people having issues playing the file: I have no idea what is causing it since it plays with everything I try it with, but it seems to be related to the audio somehow. First and foremost, make sure you are running the latest CCCP. This seems to be working for most people. However, if that does not fix the problem, somebody found that switching to LAV Audio Decoder works, which can be done by going to Options -> External Filters in MPC-HC, adding LAV Audio Decoder there and setting it to Prefer.
